Our 2020 travel in review.
Even with the pandemic bs and the loss of our little Daisy, 2020 was one of our best years ever!
The year would begin in busy crowds during New Years Eve on the Las Vegas strip with an amazing firework display. We would leave Las Vegas shortly after and start our eastern trek back home. Our travel would take us to Tucson, AZ, Dallas, TX, New Orleans, LA, Tampa, FL and Key Largo, FL.. As the pandemic hits we would be forced to lock down in Key Largo, FL and we are not complaining. This would be one of the safest and most beautiful places in the country as the lock down begins. All of our northern trek home destinations would be canceled. Our trip home would consist of staying in Walmart and truck stop parking lots as we make a direct route back to Alexandria Bay.
Once home we would retire a second time giving us time to finally go fishing, go on day trips and spend much quality time with our daughter and granddaughter.
As fall came we would actually start our western trek heading east to Bar Harbor and Portland, ME. We would then continue west stopping in Saratoga Springs, NY, the covered bridges of Ashtabula, Ohio, St. Louis, MO, standing on the corner in Winslow, AZ, Las Vegas, NV and finally where we are presently in Pahrump, NV. Being able to spend time with our Nevada kids and grandkids is priceless!
2020 was a difficult year but we made the best of it. As full time travelers we can interact with other people as much or as little as we want to stay safe. Continuing social protocols and the introduction of vaccines we hope 2021 will be even better!
